General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the language school “Alpha Plus“

1. Scope of application

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between the language school „Alpha Plus“, Kirchstraße 1, 64283 Darmstadt, owner Mrs Olga Tabatschnikow, hereinafter „Language School“, and its customers (hereinafter „Participants“), which are concluded via the website www.alphaplus-schule.de or directly on site.
Deviating conditions of the participants are not recognised unless the language school expressly agrees to their validity in writing.

2. Subject matter of the contract

The language school offers integration courses.
The course content, times, locations and fees can be found in the respective course descriptions on the website or in the individual offer.

3. Registration and conclusion of contract

• You can enrol for a course online via the website, by e-mail or in person. Registration is only possible personally on site.
• By registering, the participant submits a binding offer to conclude a contract.
• The contract is concluded when the language school confirms the enrolment in writing.

4. Participation requirements

Special requirements may apply to integration courses, such as a BAMF authorisation certificate or certain language skills. These requirements must be proven by the participant before the start of the course by means of a placement test requested by the BamF.

5. Terms of payment

• The course fees must be paid in full (see invoice) upon receipt of the invoice, but at the latest before the start of the course.
• Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash. Proof of payment by email plus@t-online.de as confirmation.
• For subsidised courses, the respective provisions of the funding body apply.

6. Withdrawal, rebooking and cancellation

• Cancellation of the course is possible free of charge up to 10 days before the start of the course.
• In the event of late cancellation or non-attendance, the full course fee is due unless a replacement participant is provided.
• The language school reserves the right to cancel courses for good cause (e.g. insufficient number of participants, illness of the teacher, force majeure). In this case, any fees already paid will be refunded in full.

7. Liability

The language school is only liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence.
No liability is accepted for the loss of or damage to participants' property during the course.

8. Copyrights

Teaching materials are protected by copyright.
Any distribution, reproduction or public use without the express consent of the language school is not permitted.

9. Data protection

The language school collects and processes participants' personal data exclusively for the purpose of implementing the contract and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR).
A privacy policy is available on the website of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

10. Final provisions

• The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
• Should any provision of these GTC be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
• The place of jurisdiction is, as far as legally permissible, the registered office of the Darmstadt language school.
