If you are register for the course yourself (as a self-payer), you only need a Identity document for identification (e.g. identity card or passport) at the enrolment appointment.
When an authority pays the course fees (so you Partially or fully exempt from costs are), you need: A Identity document for identification and a Confirmation of entitlement to free participation in an integration course.
This confirmation can be issued by various authorities, job centres, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
The costs for an integration course depend on the respective participant status. For self-paying participants, the price is as follows 460,00 € per module. Anyone who has an authorisation certificate but has no cost exemption, pays € 229.00 per module. Participants with Authorisation certificate and cost exemption can attend the course free of charge.

Participants with authorisation from the BAMF can receive travel expenses. Self-payers and people who live less than 5 kilometres from the course location on foot are not eligible.
The amount is determined individually by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. It is usually based on the distance between the place of residence and the course location.
